Basic Rules
1. Be courteous – Do not insult, attack or tease, even if it’s just meant as a joke. Comments come across differently written than they do face-to-face, so what is funny to one might sound insulting to another.
2. No flaming, harassing, profanity, abusive language or abbreviations, personal attacks, racial, religious, ethnic, or other slurs. Topics containing said things will be removed.
3. Try not to spam other people's posts. If you do so, the owner of the thread has every right to report you. This includes spamming to increase your rank.
4. Do not report players for frivolous reasons.
5. Never, ever give out personal information about yourself while online! Personal info includes your full name, address (physical or email), phone number, or other information you wouldn't want strangers to see. By the same token, do not ask others for their personal information. Also, we recommend that you do not use your real (full) name. You are allowed to PM said information, but do so at your own risk. Please do not DOX yourself or others.
6. Please, no extreme cursing. This includes f-bombs, racial slurs, and anything to be considered objectively offensive. How do you judge if something is extreme? Here's some clarification. Anything on this list (with the exception of 13 and 15) is prohibited: List of prohibited words.
7. Posting selfies and pictures of yourself is allowed but discouraged. Since this is an open forum that guests can view without logging in, there is always a risk that someone can reverse google search your selfie and find more information that you wouldn't want them accessing. The forums are not liable for any invasion of privacy due to the posting of said pictures. You do so at your own risk.
8. As tempting as it is to make several accounts, please do refrain from doing so as it clogs the system. Try to limit yourself to one main account, if possible.
9. Necroposting is highly discouraged as it often clogs the main page.
10. Do not report a thread more than once. This clogs up our security system.
11. Kit-stealing is not forbidden, unless the clan being stolen from forbids said action within their rules. If so, said clan members can report the kit-stealer.
12. You cannot order someone to leave a thread if they haven't broken any rules. You may ask them (politely) to leave, but no one other than a moderator or admin can remove someone from a thread.
13. DO NOT INSULT MEMBERS OF THE FORUM. Posts like "Who do you hate the most on the forum" will be removed, especially if they list people by name.
14. Call-out posts (posts that specifically bring up someone with the intention of flaming them) will be deleted upon being found. These are not to be tolerated. If there's ever an issue with a forumer, then PM it to an admin or mod.
Post Content Rules
1. Violence is only allowed if it's barely PG-13. Nothing too gory or gruesome please!
2. Posting artwork is fine, but only if it is your own art, or public gifs, pictures, memes, or videos. None of these should be above a PG-13 rating, and there should not be gore or nudity in anything. If you need to post someone's personal artwork from sites like Twitter, tumblr, Pivix, DeviantArt or other related art-sharing sites, please do credit them appropriately. If that image contains someone's watermark, it should not be posted.
3. Post in the correct forum. If you are not sure if your topic belongs in a specific forum, read the forum description posted in each area. If still unsure, you are welcome to ask in FAQs. Of course, not posting in the correct section can easily be corrected by a moderator or admin, so if you see something out of place or would like to move the thread, you can report the post and request that it be moved. This will not result in the post being deleted, but will allow it to quickly move to it's appropriate place.
4. With the series still continuing, spoilers can be an issue. Please be considerate and place a spoiler warning to help others avoid them.
5.We make every effort to keep an eye on the boards and remove questionable content. However, if you see comments that are not following our guidelines, please report the post to an administrator or moderator.
6. We reserve the right to delete or move posts with no advance warning. Obviously, we will do so if the content isn’t appropriate based on the board guidelines, but we will also delete posts from time to time to save space. However, we will refrain from deleting topics if they are not too offensive, and will instead lock said thread until a resolution has been reached.
7. To be entirely clear, you can do anything you want w/ romance in any capacity as long as it doesn't involve explicitly sexual actions on public threads (i.e: sex, ****, foreplay, etc.). If you must RP said actions and both roleplaying partners are above 18 and consenting, then they move it over to your PM. Remember, for legal issues, anyone younger that 18 should not participate in explicitly sexual actions publicly or privately. Be careful to check to make sure that your partner is not a minor before proceeding.
***Note: IF ANYONE DOES THIS TO SOMEONE THAT DOESN'T GIVE THEM PERMISSION, THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO REPORT.
8. No posts should exclude people due to categorization (i.e: race, religion, sexuality, political affiliations, orientation, Pokemon GO teams, etc.). You can have specified posts w/ topics related to those subjects, but you cannot say that people who are not of that group are not allowed to post since that's discrimination which is NOT condoned on these forums. Example: You can have a post about being a certain orientation, but you can't say that people not of that orientation are not allowed to post.
9. Clans may have their own rule list, but they may not break any of these rules. The RP must be in the parameter of the main WCRF rules.
10. Posts may mention politics, but they should not become flamed arguments and/or rants. If so, members are allowed to report the thread and the thread will be investigated by moderators and admins.
11. 1x1 RPs are allowed as long you don't force other people off your thread without reason. However, we recommend that you do 1x1 RPs through PM since it'll be easier for everyone and it prevents others from intruding against your wishes.
